My Family
First of all I want to say how important family is… they're always there for you. My family has always been so supportive, especially with my career and with my own kids. They have all helped me in one way or another and I know I can rely on them again and again.
My mum, Amy, is a great mum. She knows me back to front and she loves everything about me. She's always supportive, especially when it comes to Harvey. I really would be lost if it wasn't for my mum.
Paul, my stepdad, became part of my life when I was just a little girl aged six. He has supported me all along and I feel as though, basically, he's my real Dad.
Daniel, my brother, is like any other brother with younger sisters. Always ensuring we are OK and telling us how it is, never afraid to tell me things that I probably don't want to hear. But he also encourages and supports me plenty, doing a lot of stuff for me behind the scenes too.
Sophie's my younger sister. Ive seen her grow up, so confident and so clever at borrowing my clothes and make-up! She is also my best friend, I love going shopping with her, pampering her and doing what sisters do best - having fun together!
Harvey, my first son, is such a delight and although we've had some problems, he is such a happy baby. Harvey was born with a rare disorder called Septo-Optic Dysplasia (SOD) which is basically the abnormal development of the optic nerve plus some pituitary deficiencies. None of us had any idea that Harvey had problems until his six week check up, which marked the beginning of our continuing worries about his health.
When he was almost a year old, more problems started to come to light. Harvey's development was slow and he was always thirsty and gaining weight. After many visits to Great Ormond Street and meeting a lot of specialists (who are all fantastic) we now have Harvey on regular medication to help improve his health. There's lots of information in my autobiographies, 'Being Jordan' and 'A Whole New World' and "Pushed to the Limit', which take you through my feelings and thoughts throughout the journey I have enjoyed, so far, with Harvey.
My family extended further in June 2005. Junior was born - he is a real cutie. I must admit whilst pregnant with Junior I was worried and nervous thinking about Harvey… what if? Junior has a sparkle and a real personality about himself, he's a lovely healthy boy. I love both of my sons so much and am really looking forward to them growing up together!
Pete and I then had our second child together, a beautiful baby girl called 'Princess Tiaamii' a real bundle of cuteness!
